Pic Rev. Sharon joined the Grace Staff in September 2013 after graduating from seminary. She was ordained into the priesthood at Grace after receiving a call from the community. Rev. Sharon is enlivened by people who wrestle with the complex, and often counter cultural, ideas of the Christian faith. It is an honor to be with people as they begin or deepen their understanding of God and recognize how God works in their lives.
Before becoming a priest, she graduated from University of Maryland School of Nursing and became a medical R.N. at University of Maryland working in acute care. When the AIDS crises started she felt called to Home Care and served primarily in west Baltimore. When this crisis became more manageable she finished her nursing career by working with cystic fibrosis at Johns Hopkins. Being a Maryland resident all her life she has worshiped at several Maryland churches, but was sent into the Priesthood by the Cathedral. Her main function at Grace is to work with the vestry and the laity of all ages to develop ministry both within the church and in the community.
