Every Sunday – Holy Communion (Contemporary Language- Rite II)

The 8:15 am service has two different types of worship offerings.

  • The second Sunday of the month Grace Church does what Episcopalians call the Rite I service. This is a service of Holy Communion that uses traditional language, such as  “thee” and “thou.”
  • The other three Sunday 8:15 am services begin with Morning Prayer and ends in Eucharist that is in contemporary.  There was a time in our history when we were without a priest. The people kept our church open by worshiping with Morning Prayer. The Daily Office services (one is Morning Prayer) can be led by anyone in the church. We at Grace are grateful for the people who led the community in worship.
