The season of Epiphany celebrates God’s great unveiling—the manifestation of Christ to all the peoples of the earth.
Just as a star once led wisemen from distant lands to kneel before the infant Jesus, God continues to guide us through signs and wonders, through Scripture and sacrament, through the faces of neighbors and strangers alike.
In this season, we are invited to follow wherever that light leads, trusting that the faith that now guides our steps will one day give way to sight, when we see God’s glory face to face.
Epiphany reminds us that Christ came not for the few but for all and that we who have glimpsed his light are called to reflect it and to lead others home to the God’s love.
Blessings & peace to you this season,
The Reverend Kiona Lookingbill
The Collect for Epiphany:
O God, by the leading of a star you manifested your only Son to the peoples of the earth:
Lead us, who know you now by faith, to your presence, where we may see your glory face to face;
through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.
