This Thanksgiving, we give thanks to God for His Providence. In seasons of plenty and in seasons of want, God, in His Spirit, walks beside us, guides us, and sustains us with his presence. Every blessing and good gift we receive comes from God\’s hand. May we pause this Thanksgiving to remember that we are deeply loved and cared for by the One who gave Himself for us.

As we feast with grateful hearts, let us not forget those who hunger—not only for bread, but for dignity, hope, and the knowledge that they too are seen and beloved. Christ came to bring Good News to the poor, and the Holy Spirit invites us and empowers us to share in that work. Let us give generously from the abundance we have received, extending God\’s care to those in need, so that all may know His goodness and provision.

We hold in our hearts those who gather at tables with empty chairs this year, missing loved ones who have gone before us. May the God of all comfort draw near to you in your grief. May you find solace in the knowledge that nothing can separate us and our loved ones who have gone onto glory from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus.

For those traveling near and far, we pray for your journeys to be marked with peace and that you will reach your destinations safely.

Wishing you and yours a blessed Thanksgiving,

The Rev. Kiona Lookingbill
